What Is the Environmental Impact of Excessive Packaging?<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Nowadays, many companies send and receive cardboard boxes<\/a> with customised products. Despite all the advantages offered by packaging, it can also have negative effects. As we know, the global population is growing steadily, and so is the demand for packaging shipments. The need to deal with waste must be addressed efficiently. To understand the negative and positive effects of boxes, we need to understand the exact concept of excessive packaging.<\/p>\n

The Concept of Excessive Packaging<\/strong>
\nGovernments are placing greater emphasis on introducing special laws, such as those stipulating that, if a product is damaged during transport, the manufacturer must be responsible for recycling the packaging or the product.<\/p>\n

Excessive Packaging Recycling Issues<\/strong>
\nAs you probably know, plastic containers and bags bear a recycling logo and instructions as part of their packaging design. However, according to the Ecology Center<\/strong>, some of them are not recyclable. This raises a question: how long can product packaging be recycled? Below is a list of materials commonly used for packaging, together with their recycling lifespan.<\/p>\n

Recycling Lifespan<\/strong>
\nSome packaging materials, such as product boxes<\/a>, can be used or recycled several times, while some can only be reused 2\u20133 times. Here is a list of conventional materials used for packaging:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Plastic can be used only once. It cannot be recycled again;
\n\u2022 Paper can be used approximately 6\u20138 times;
\n\u2022 Cardboard intended for recycling can be used 4\u20135 times;
\n\u2022 Glass can be used many times. Glass can be recycled indefinitely;
\n\u2022 Like glass, aluminium, other metals and copper can be recycled indefinitely;
