\nBubble mailers (protective envelopes) are made from a combination of polyethylene and paper<\/a>, with air bubbles inside for cushioning and an outer paper layer with a soft surface that can be easily written on. Because they are made from two separate materials, bubble mailers cannot be recycled as a whole. The outer paper and plastic interior are bonded together and cannot be processed together for recycling. If you can separate the outer paper from the interior, they can be recycled separately.<\/p>\n

Is packaging foam recyclable?<\/strong>
\nPackaging foam is a protective product<\/a> that provides excellent stability and cushioning while being lightweight, easy to handle, cut and use. It excels at protecting a wide range of products and parcels, whether they are wrapped, blocked, folded or cushioned.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, recycling foam packaging is not straightforward. Its lightweight, low-density properties, which make it so suitable for packaging and protection, also make it difficult to recycle easily. In some areas, options may be very limited because not all recycling centres can handle or process this material. However, some centres do recycle foam materials, so check locally to find out which recycling options are available.<\/p>\n
