In 1930, the young engineer Richard Drew invented the first cellulose adhesive tape, offering an attractive, moisture-resistant way to seal packages, used by grocers and bakeries.
Over the next 80 years, Scotch became a market-leading brand for adhesive tapes. From the introduction of the first dispenser for sponge tape in 1932, the focus has always been on inventiveness and ingenuity. Today, Scotch 3M Tape offers more than 400 different types of adhesive tape for packaging, crafting and sealing.
After choosing the right adhesive tape to seal your products, it is very important to make sure they arrive safely. At INATECH, we are committed to offering our customers the best choice of high-quality packaging, which is why we have also supplied our customers with the highest-quality adhesive tape for many years.
In this article, we will focus on the full range of adhesive tapes we offer, providing an overview of each adhesive tape and explaining which is best for ensuring that you use the right packaging tape for your needs.
Our range of adhesive tapes:
At INATECH, we stock 9 different types of adhesive tape suitable for packaging and transport, each with its own properties for a wide range of packaging applications.
All adhesive tapes from INATECH have specific names that make it easier to ensure you get exactly the adhesive tape you need. Adhesive tape thickness is measured in microns: the higher the number of microns, the thicker the adhesive tape. At INATECH, we also offer adhesive tape dispensers suitable for most of the range, making it easier, faster and safer to apply adhesive tape to the desired surfaces.
The adhesive tapes we stock at INATECH are:
– Brown and transparent adhesive tape;
– Custom adhesive tape;
– FRAGILE adhesive tape;
– PROMOTION adhesive tape, for packaging and warning purposes;
– Security seal adhesive tape;
– Aluminium-coated TESA adhesive tape;
– Paper masking tape;
– Double-sided foam tape;
– Anti-slip adhesive tape;
– Adhesive tape dispenser.
Brown and transparent adhesive tape
One of the most popular adhesive tapes is transparent and brown tape, which provides excellent adhesion. It offers good resistance to tearing and impact. It is the most widely used adhesive tape in many industries, is easy to apply and bonds instantly to paper and cardboard. Unlike many other adhesive tapes, it does not use solvents in its adhesive.

Custom adhesive tape
An effective method used by companies for promotion. Any parcel being shipped can be sealed with custom adhesive tape featuring the company’s logo instead of classic brown or transparent adhesive tape. By using custom adhesive tape, packages are properly closed, sealed and customised, while printed adhesive tape is also a modern and effective advertising tool.

FRAGILE adhesive tape
This is a warning product offering a very good level of performance, making it a safer and less expensive choice. This FRAGILE adhesive tape does not require additional safety measures, as solvent-based adhesive tapes do, and is resistant to ageing. It can be stored and used for long periods without losing its properties. It is used to seal packages containing fragile items.

PROMOTION adhesive tape, for packaging and warning purposes
PROMOTION adhesive tape is a warning product offering a very good level of performance, making it a safer and less expensive choice. It does not require additional safety measures, as solvent-based adhesive tapes do, and is resistant to ageing. The adhesive tape can be stored and used for long periods without losing its properties.

Security seal adhesive tape
It features a dual-layer system that indicates, after being applied to a box or other package intended to be sealed with adhesive tape, whether this security seal adhesive tape has been removed, by printing the message “ABIERTO”; therefore, the package has been opened. An important characteristic of security seal adhesive tapes is that adhesion increases over time, along with resistance to extreme temperatures after full bonding has taken place. With permanent adhesion, these adhesive tapes can be used on materials such as plastic, paper (cardboard), metal, glass, wood, etc.

Aluminium-coated TESA adhesive tape
This is a highly flexible tape used mainly in the household appliance industry and also for insulation, heating systems, air conditioning and ventilation, where closing joints and sealing thermal insulation materials is required. Aluminium adhesive tape is also used in the refrigeration industry for sealing and waterproofing protective panels.

Adhesive tape dispenser
The adhesive tape dispenser for applying tape to cardboard boxes is used for packaging and is equipped with a rubber roller and cutting device. This adhesive tape applicator features a rubber handle for ease of use and a device for cutting the adhesive tape. The adhesive tape dispenser makes sealing cardboard boxes easier, increases packing productivity and eliminates tape wastage.

Double-sided foam tape
Double-sided adhesive tapes offer remarkable adhesion on a wide variety of flat or irregular substrates, including wood and even leather. They have increased resistance to friction, shear, high temperatures, high humidity, weathering and solvents. However, non-permanent tapes can be removed easily.

Anti-slip adhesive tape
Anti-slip adhesive tape is specially designed for application on flat, heavily trafficked surfaces where there is a risk of slipping, such as tiles, marble, granite and enamelled baths. It offers very good adhesion both outdoors and indoors. It has a self-adhesive underside that ensures quick, firm and secure installation. It features a 100-micron-thick PVC backing, with good resistance to UV exposure and contact with water. It is resistant to temperature changes, humidity, UV exposure and detergents.

Paper masking tape
The final tape we offer is not packaging tape, but masking tape, perfect for creative projects or renovations. It bonds firmly to most metal, plastic or wooden surfaces, for masking surfaces during spray painting or precision decorating.

It can be removed easily after use without leaving residue or marks, or damaging surfaces. It is made from soft crepe paper with a rubber adhesive and is resistant to water and solvents. It is ideal for reinforcing, insulating and marking cables and connectors, as well as for painting, helping to define areas where paint should not reach. Paper masking tape is resistant to abrasion and fire, remains durable over time and withstands difficult weather conditions.
